When we get a glimpse of the search conversion rate depending on the device used, our data show the well-known fact that customers still prefer to complete payments on computers.

They use mobile devices in the earlier stages of purchase to find out the available offer.

However, the pandemic has also helped to change this trend. Mobile phones are gradually catching up with the desktop.

Compared to 2019, in 2020, customers shop more frequently via mobile in almost all segments. The average search conversion rate increased by 32% year-on-year.

It is, therefore, important that e-shop administrators do not hide the search bar on mobile versions of websites and do not force customers to search for it, as it is one of the fundamental features.

The search bar must be visible and ready to use (without having to click on the magnifying glass).
