Top-selling goodies are not always the top-selling goodies. That might summarize our ABC testing, which we did in the e-shop Hanibal with outdoor equipment.

Hanibal is a well-known e-shop selling outdoor equipment. In its cross-sell and upsell activities, it recommended a one-size-fits-all solution – top-selling products. After our analysis, we agreed with the client to run ABC testing in three target groups for two months.

Group A

Control group without any recommendation. No x/up sell in the basket.

Group B

A control group with the current solution.

Group C

Personalized offers are available with the Persoo solution, a smart AI and machine learning algorithm based on data collected over the past five years.

What were the outcomes?

After two months of ABC testing, Target group C has better results than A by 15,6%. Group B had terrible results, which resulted in non-finished orders.
