Upselling is a Luigi’s Box Recommender feature that creates smart product recommendations for more expensive products. It creates an opportunity for an upsell focused on the profit margin while maintaining product relevancy. If a customer selects a product, the Recommender will recommend a more expensive alternative.
These price differences can be minor or significant, depending on the product. Upsell has two variants: it can upsell the total product price or profit margin, depending on which option works best in a particular situation.
How can you use Upsell?
The Upsell feature is great for encouraging customers to swap their lower-priced product for one with a higher price tag but better overall value and additional features. Products with higher prices can provide better features and overall value and are more likely to satisfy customers due to their initially lower expectations from previous, lower-priced products.
