Recommender Pin-to-Position is a part of Recommendations Customization dashboard.
What is Recommendations Customization
Recommendations Customization is a Luigi’s Box Recommender feature that allows you to pin items to a specific position in a selected recommender. You can select individual items, items that fulfill certain criteria (brands, product categories, properties), or entire recommenders. These items will show up in a selected Recommender for a selected duration.
Recommender pins also allow you to set negative pins to exclude specific items, items with particular properties and features, or item categories from being recommended to your website visitors. You can find this option in the Recommendations Customization section.
How to use Recommendations Customization
Since you can select which items will show in the Recommender, you can assert full control over the sales of specific items or a selected category of items. Furthermore, you can exclude items that you don’t want to show in the Recommender to focus the efforts only on selected items.
For example, you can promote items with a particular property, such as color, brand, feature, or belonging to a specific product category. This can give you some extra flexibility regarding product recommendations and product details. For example, you can only recommend Apple chargers if a customer is looking at the newest iPhone pinned in a recommender, or help them find iPhone covers that match the color of their chosen device.
