Sites Groups, Recommender Blacklisting and Other Improvements

Addition of Sites Groups

Sites Groups is a new feature that allows you to sort your e-commerce sites into logical groups. We have added a Manage Sites button to the Sites sidebar, where you can create groups and add sites.

This update also includes a new Create new site/project button. Whenever you create a new site for an existing project, you can also set the group to which it should be assigned. By default, all projects have a Default group. Create new groups and assign your sites according to your preferences.

Item identity in Trending items and Item detail screens

The Trending items and Item detail screens now show the identity (URL) of each item. This is useful in cases where you have several products with the same title, as it allows you to recognize them easily. Simply hover your mouse over the table to see item identities on the screens.

Profiles is now changed to Users

Say goodbye to Profiles and welcome Users in Luigi’s Box Analytics. We replaced all the occurrences of Profiles with Users within analytics reports. With Users, if a single user is logged in with two or more different devices, the metric will count them only once, as it should be. This change will make it easier for all Luigi’s Box clients to understand Analytics and find the interface more comprehensive.

Application menu update

The application menu received a design update to make things clearer and more comprehensive for all Luigi’s Box users. The first part of the menu focuses on separate Luigi’s Box products, so Search, Recommender, and Product Listing can be found here. The second part is focused on tools and configurations. It includes a catalog, A/B tests, and various settings.

As an example, you can find the Audit log under General settings. Meanwhile, Banner Management for Search is under the Search menu option, Banner Management for Product Listing is under the Product Listing option, and so on.

Recommendation blacklisting

You now have the option to blacklist selected products from being recommended. All it takes is adding a short line of code anywhere on your site. You can find more information and the script tag on this page.

Item input priority change in Recommender

Recommender now treats the most recently added product in the shopping cart as the item with the highest priority. Recommendations for the most recent item display in a higher position to allow faster reaction to a change of shopping intent. This change also affects the order of Recommender Pin-to-Position items, so the most recently added items will take precedence in case of collisions.
